Notice the string of saliva from Finley's mouth. He has his first tooth coming out and the flow of fluid out of his mouth has increased dramatically.

Crawling

Finley is slowly but surely learning the elements of crawling. He's spends much of his day on all fours. While he hasn't quite figured out how to move forward, he is quite proficient at shuffling backwards! So much so, that we have to watch him much more closely - he ends up under the couch a lot.

New High Chair

Finley has ventured into the world of "real" food. This week, we've started him on rice cereal and so far, he's had pears, bananas, avocados and a little turkey for Christmas. He seems to enjoy eating different types of food, although he made some funny faces with the avocado. Much of it ends up on his bib, but he'll learn to keep it down soon enough.

So, we've added another piece of furniture in our house, a high chair. We got the highly tauted peg perego high chair, which normally retails for almost $200 - but we got a used one for $20. It is in great condition, it just needed some seriously cleaning. Dwight was a trooper and took it apart piece by piece and cleaned it all up. It now looks great! I think Finley really appreciates finally being able to have dinner at the table with the grown ups.
